Post-processing
Ligthened the picture with a curves layer and a black and white layer set to screen (30%). Turned up the contrast with a black and white layer set to overlay (40%) and a black and white layer set to soft light (40%). Turned up the contrast a tiny bit more with a few selective curves layers. Turned the picture almost to black and white with a black and white layer with 70% opacity.
