Puella Magi Madoka Magica - Purity

The dress was incredibly fun to wear, the petticoat made things so poofy that I could just walk around with my skirt bouncing. I had to add 4 more layers of tulle on the MORNING of the con just to make the front more poofy haha... I've never cut it this close to a con while making stuff before, this is a first. My friends say that I'm becoming a true cosplayer (since I'm doing things super last minute). At least I'm not sewing at the hotel, that'd be so stressful haha! I had friends that brought their sewing machines to the hotel! xD

There were so many frills on this costume ! The frills around the bottom of the circle skirt took me like... 2 days to gather. I swear my hands were cramping by the end of it. My glove's petals... omg, I did like 7 patterns and screwed up 4 times... (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻)... then I took a break for 3 weeks and got back to it. So hard to make OTL...

Weapon Details:
Bow: 2 wire coat hangers, packaging tape, aluminium foil, masking tape, paper mache, layer of glue after that, then a layer of dry wall paste, then a layer of mod podge and filled in the holes, dents and cracks with hot glue and caulk...
Damn paper mache kept popping up & plaster kept cracking around the curves ;_____;

Arrow: 12 kabob sticks taped together then wrapped with 4 different ribbons with stiff felt as fake feathers and insulation foam for the tip.

*I made this version of the bow instead of the flower bow because I couldn't take any more girly pink stuff >___> ... too much... pink. x____x*

Fun Facts:
I got stuck in this costume the first time I put it on. OTL

There is a picture of myself (as Madoka) eating a giant burger. This picture is circulating around facebook because the photographer loaded it up 3 times and I am now called the burger-loving Madoka. OTL

Madoka is full of fail. LOL
