Momo has been sick since Christmas Eve ... he started to act a little unusual in the litter-box in the morning and evening. We rushed Momo to the Emergency room since we thought it could be a urethral obstruction, which is a serious condition that if left untreated can be fatal. When the normal flow of urine is obstructed, toxins build up in the blood and if uremic poisoning sets in, the cat will die within 72 hours. Fortunately there were no obstructions. The day after the Christmas, we took him to his Vet and she said it could be Feline Urinary Tract Infection (FUTI) so we are now giving him antibiotics for 14 days to see if he will return to normal again. If that doesn't work, she said Momo needs to have an X-ray and ultrasound to check for any stones. He has been taken antibiotic for the last few days, but it seems like it's not helping him at all. I called his vet yesterday and the nurse said that if the situation is the same after 72 hours from starting the medication, we have to take him to his vet again. I think it might be a kidney stone or something, but hope not... He hasn't been drinking much water over the last few days compared to what he used to drink. I have to put water in him mouth with a dropper and I also made a chicken broth with chunks of chicken, which he seems to like. He drinks the broth, which helps him to drink more fluid. We're still not sure what is causing the problem for him and I'm so worried... I'm taking off from my studio at the art center for while and keeping my eye on him for a while until we know what is wrong with him. Hope it's nothing serious...

I've not been here on DA for a long while since many things were going on in my life recently and it kept me very busy, so I could spend only little time on Internet. I miss you all and hope everything is going well for all of you.  I'm going to manage my time and try to be here more often next year.  

This year has a few more days left, but I hope every one has a wonderful New Year's Eve and wish you all the best for 2010.

I've not been here on DA for a long while since many things were going on in my life recently and it kept me very busy, so I could spend only little time on Internet. I miss you all and hope everything is going well for all of you.  This year is only  10 days left... it will keeps me busy toward the Christmas and New Year Eve,  but I'm going to manage my time and try to be here more often next year. You will see more pictures of Chibi and Momo soon.

Recently, one of the most important art shows in the U.S., the Art Basel Miami, was held from the 2nd to 5th of December in Miami Beach. During this time, a wide range of contemporary art was on displayed by galleries and dealers from around the world. I had the opportunity to visit Miami for three days during the show to see the current trends in the art world. At the same time, there were likely another 30 to 40 art fairs being held simultaneously such as Art Miami, Red Dot, and other fairs.

Indeed, the Art Basel was a fantastic show and Art Miami was very impressive as well. There were many famous artists' works being displayed such as Picasso, Chagall,  Joan Miró, Kandinsky, de Kooning, Henry Moore, Andy Warhol, Chuck Close, David Hockney, Roy Lichtenstein, and so on in addition to many amazing works by contemporary artists. Also, paintings by Sylvester Stallone (Actor)...

Sylvester Stallone: The Electric Burst of Creativity

I didn't know when Sylvester Stallone became an Artist...
Seems like he was there at the opening night on the 2nd.
Two of them were already sold when I saw his paintings.
