Demo
The main point is the notification system : we should be able to click notification popups. My sister was using my computer, for some reason, as she saw one of those popups, she instantly tried to click it. This shows how intuitive it would be.
Also, the current sound bar wouldn't be needed anymore. Clicking on the sound icon would simply display the notification popup.
Plus, the "i" icon provides some notifications management, something similar to that thing for KDE4 they're planning to do...
I know, Gnome-Do just had been installed but is already running...I wanted to show how it should look. Just made it easier.
About the window, I first planned to add a menu button to the toolbar. I just saw lassekongo's idea about menus, this would actually be better. Great idea.
I wish we could customize a bit more the desktop icons. This is something I'd enjoy to be able to do...
I bet the Docky and Gnome-Do skins would be easy.
I'm not up to date about the latest gtk engines and those stuff, I don't really know how this could be done (especially the panel, it doesn't seem to be possible, easily). An emerald theme won't be difficult.

sry but, i think its it looks more like a mac than a linux os. i dont know why people want that their desktop look like osx. ok osx has a great style concept but for me its unusable(too many and too big shadows & effects, working with the top menubar on a big screen with many windows open is absolutly horrible, the dock needs too many space)
btw you icon-theme the looks very inconsistent(panel: monochome icons in typical apple style, dock: photorealistic camera icon, notify: the mail icon follows more tango style)
