The Slithering Spartan, Medusa

Time and time again has proven Greek mythology is a fun template to interpret and create stories from. One of my friends is way into it. I figured I'd give it a shot myself by doing my own take on Medusa the gorgon, inspired by Anton Bogaty's artwork and taking aspects of Hoplites and large snakes like anacondas and the titanboa into the design. This piece actually started off years ago as something inspired by Lauren Faust when she almost made a Medusa movie at Sony but she was fired off it and the movie was shelved (for the record, no I didn't work on it. The piece at first was going to be a caricature of someone as Medusa.)
