Halloween, supposed to be a creepy evening with lots of spooks. You go trick or treating. Carve pumpkins. Watch scary movies. Make costumes. Well… I live in the Netherlands. And we don’t really celebrate Halloween.
It all started when I was walking on the weekly market and spotted a market that was selling pumpkins. Little cute ones. Since I have a friend that is staying over and we wanted to do some fun things together, I thought to myself, why not carve pumpkins? Last year was the first year I did that and for me it had been a lot of fun to be creative. She has never done it before! And I think everyone should do that at least once. So I bought 2 little pumpkins and that same weekend we had a lot of fun to try and turn them into ‘scary’ pumpkins. We named them Jerry and Tom.
It was a shame that they were already half spoiled when we started to carve them. Luckily it was only seen from the inside, so they could still be placed outside to stand proudly. Still a shame tho… Because they quickly were thrown away because they were spoiled and rotten.
I was a bit down because I was looking forwards to Halloween and to put a candle in them for some spooky time. Even if they were not that spooky and creepy. I told my mom and well… got over it.
2 days later my mom came by with someone else that gave us 6 pumpkins to carve. Not small ones like Jerry and Tom. But nice decent size ones. Of course we immediately took one of them inside to brainstorm what to do with it. So many ideas. Then again, we had so many pumpkins.
Since we are both a big fan of our shared rpg where we have a werewolf with 1 eye (have some fanart of him on my deviantart) we decided to try that. And so the Werewolf/Pumpink King was born. A one eyed one with fangs, named Zoro. We are proud of him and now are trying to think what to do with the other 5.
