Rite of Merit: Endurance

  

Story:

The crisp morning was beginning to hint at almost a sunny day as the clouds began to part leaving little hint of the overcast which haunted most of their journey. Juniper snorted with some amusement as the sun peaked through just as the once narrow path began to break into an open valley signally a end to their nearly three hour journey.

“Well that could have happened a little bit earlier…” The sable flecked tundra snarked. “We could have used a bit of sunlight while crossing that icey path of death instead of the flowery meadow with a pond.” Junipers words were met with eyerolls from both The Queen of Hearts and Iyla. Both the dire and the brown had known he was a goofball, but who knew he was such a whiner. Both of them had spent the harrowing trip less worried about falling off a mountain and more inclined to push him off it as he preceded to complain the entire trip.

“How is he going to survive the second rite?” The Queen of Hearts whispered to Iyla with almost a serious tone as Juniper continued to whine about the sunny weather.

“Oh sweet Akna…I didn’t even think about that…” Iyla moaned, trying to push the thought of spending 24 hours with him to the back of her mind as they closed in on the finish line.

It feels so weird posting AoAs without the form xD! I went to fill it out and halfway through realised they no longer go on the rites themselves lmao. So first rite for these 3 I absolutely love drawing dires with regular Tokotas, and Queen of Hearts is seriously one of the most beautiful Dires I've ever seen, so it was really a joy to draw her ^___^ Thanks so much to kittyline13 for the opportunity!
