My Bio

If you enjoy traditional portraits and pictures inspired by music and books, visit my DA group InspiredPencils: https://www.deviantart.com/inspiredpencils.

And if you like Tom Waits, you need to be here: https://www.deviantart.com/tomwaitsfc :))

From time to time, an irresistible desire to draw prog musicians and scientists (and Doctors, I guess) overtakes.

I do not do digital art, it's all paper and pencils. Or sometimes a hand-held 3D pen, or paint, bleach, eye shadows, markers, or whatever I find useful for a particular project.
And I'm not going to do anything with these drawings, not selling them, not reproducing in print etc. They just sit on the shelf. If you like them, feel free to download or share them.

p.s. I hereby solemnly swear that I will never do anime.

White and black pencils, white and black keys, neural probes. There is a musical chord in every image. Major or minor (or maybe dominant seventh...), bright or muted, shrieking, humming, harmonious or discordant. How can I evoke the same chord in you by just carefully arranging white and black specks on a piece of paper? Can I, at all? 86 billion neurons - how to find in your head the same cell that fires in mine? Or do we have the same cells? Are they wired the same way? My pencils are my neural probes. The tools for making some specific neurons fire. Hopefully. There is an image in every chord. There are landscapes of valleys, ocean waves, rooms attacked by giant octopodes, shadowy forests, bright rainbows, and dark staircases in music. Not the pictures as such, but what is left when the image is removed. Those 100 mV spikes in an intricate network that is, ultimately, you. But there is actually no dominant 7th in the reflected light. No wet sand with shining footprints and no

"Untitled" = "Unimportant". If the author does not find it necessary to say something about their work, I do not find it necessary to pay attention to it. People, if you spend hours and hours with this piece of paper, staring at this person for so long - how can you call it "untitled" and upload it with no comment whatsoever? Wasn't it sitting in your head long enough to come up with the title at least? Besides, introducing a person is just basic manners. Calling a person "unnamed" is borderline disrespect. It's like throwing your work into a pond and walking away. OK, there may be people who think that art is in the process only and those who really throw their works to ponds and walk away. So, they do not need any feedback. Basically, if there is no description of the media, I assume it's digital. If there is no description of the picture at all, I assume it's AI. Again - what is art? Is it just beauty? Just disturbance? Just technique? Of course not. It can be many things
