Firstly, this is "eye ball art". I wanna make it clear I looked directly at the screen shot of the movie to draw this. I didn't trace, but I had the image right next to my drawing.
So credit to Disney for this scene.

I just wanted to do a tribute to my favorite TLK characters, Kiara and Kovu. I saw this screen shot a while back on pinterest and I just loved it. The colors of this scene are just too amazing. It really made me look at it in awe and think, gah I wish I could draw that! The more I looked at it, the elements of the background were pretty simple. So I really wanted to do my take on it.

TLK2 is my favorite movie of all time. I do love it more than the original. I just always related to Kiara, and wanted to find my special Kovu when I was a kid. I had a big crush on Kovu and imagine there was a human version of him that was my boyfriend! Both TLK movies have, of course, been a huge inspiration for me, and continue to do so as I age into my 30s. This movie was such a big part of my life and these characters hold a super special place in my heart.
