My Bio

Most of my deviations are diorama-style modelled railway scenes in TT scale (1:120), in which I combine real models with backgrounds provided by photos, screenshots of computer games, or AI created pictures. Many scenes are just temporary arrangements for a photo shot. For some of these scenes, I collaborated with other artists. There are also real dioramas and model railway layouts, however.

Beside my modelling, I do some AI art, mainly with dieselpunk subjects and also some photography of inspiring urban and industrial places.

Summer School on railway art in Berlin

At the Berlin University of Arts (UdK), an international Summer School 'Utopias on Tracks: Art and Train' will take place from 30 June to 07 August 2025. It's open for students of all subjects interested in railways and art. The course will be conducted by Natalia Irina Roman who is known for her railway art projects, in particular in conjunction with interlocking towers. I have now started to make commissioned works. It works by the rule that the customer provides a model (locomotive, train) of which I take a photo and create a matching virtual environment. The first piece of that kind, you see here:

There are two upcoming exhibitions in June: Lokpark (locomotive park) Braunschweig on 15/16 June 2024 Exhibition on the 75th anniversary celebration of the Braunschweig Friends of Transportation Association open on both days 10:00 - 17:00 Location: Schwartzkopffstraße 3, 38126 Braunschweig, Germany Church yard festival in Wustermark (near Berlin) on 29/30 June 2024 For the new exhibition, the program from 2023 was extended to 20 pictures. The pictures that had been sold last year have been replaced by new copies.
