Angel of the Lost
This is a photograph that I took many years ago.
This is one of my favorite sculptures in all the cemeteries I have been to.
It's located in the graveyard that I go to the most.
I feel like I've lived there.
Sometimes it seems like I do.
I've seen the sculpture under the sun and in the middle of the night.
It's a reminder.
A cherub laying a wreath.
That's all it is.
But it seems like more.
So much more.
The angel is laying the wreath in remembrance.
To never forget.
Those we have loved.
And those we have lost.
