A Patient Fairy

Don’t give me that look! I was the epitome of grace, patience, and understanding! 

That mortal showed up in the same outfit as me and instead of merely zapping her into a blind hairless rat -*Which I would have totally been justified in doing by the way*- I instead politely approached her and asked her to change into a different outfit. I even- *you’ll be proud of me for this*- offered to magic up a different ensemble for her out of some of the waitstaff. And she still said no! She said I -Who again is a powerful and capricious fairy- should just get over it! Can you believe her nerve?

So I-*being the benevolent, serene, and impossibly beautiful fairy that I am*- Decided to work out a compromise. She got to stay in her outfit and I no longer have to worry about being upstaged. After all it's hard to feel upstaged by a mannequin! I get what I want and she gets what she wants. Everyone is happy. Hell If her husband does a good enough job begging later I might even change her back. Maybe.

Hmph! You still question my actions?!

You know mortals that develop a habit of questioning the fae tend to wind up at the wrong end of a magic wand. I don't suppose you want to find out what happens when my infinite benevolence and patience runs low do you? 

No? That's what I thought. 

Now I don't want to hear another peep out of you tonight. We’ll discuss your punishment when we get home. I suggest you start coming up with a good argument for why it should be temporary.

Oh look here comes her husband. Good, I’m in the mood for some grovelling.
