I know pretty much everyone who has played the PMD games support this pairing.
The partner acts like they're in love with the hero sometimes, mostly at the end, but eh.
It gets a little weird if the Partner and Hero are the same gender, but It'd be love nonetheless XD...
Unless of course, the hero is named after you and the partner named after a friend...then it's just awkward.
EDIT: My stamps suck but get a shitload of faves...Yes this is news to me.

It is NOT weird if they are the same gender! In Explorers of Sky, I am a female Eevee named Selene, and my partner is a female Vulpix named Diana. And guess what? I still ship it because Hero x Partner is probably my endgame OTP. No matter what I ship, I keep coming back to it.
