A place like this isn’t much for gloom and grief, but in the interest of understanding I’ll share my dark day with you all. This morning I lost the catalyst to my life as I know it, the one who steered me towards that everlasting light. I lost my mother. To say she was a good person doesn’t do her justice. She was a warrior who followed her Christian beliefs through the battlefield of terminal illness. She held a light when others would simply give up. She withstood my learning disability and homeschooled me and my sister. She made strangers cry and pour out their soul just by talking with her. She wasn’t just kind, she was who you’d refer to when you wanted to call someone kind and loving. If I were to tell you all she endured, all she withstood without letting her faith faulted, I swear none would leave with a dry eye. So I’ll be taking some time to grief.
