Hey everyone! Sorry to say that I've removed my gallery from DeviantArt today! About 860 images across 18 years have been erased. Sad to see it go, but it's been a struggle to let it stay with what DA has become over this last while, and I think I need to finally give up and cut a bit loose. DA was my homepage for 19 years, I had this account for 18 of them, met the person I married here, met a lot of long-term friends I still keep contact with, and had a far-reaching display of my own growth over time there that it kinda sucks to lose. I miss what DA was, and can't stand what it's turned into.Thanks to all who still follow me elsewhere!My artwork is still backed up, and I have other galleries on Newgrounds, Cara, some on FA, a free-to-join Discord server, and a bit on Bluesky for now! It's all under JesterDK, too.If you want to unfollow this DA account, that's absolutely fine, too! I can't believe I got so many followers here over the years (1556!), and appreciate that so many wanted

Man, the DA CEO put up a statement about their vision for the future of DA in the year of it's 25th Anniversary....and it's a jooooooke. This site was my homepage for most of the last 20 years - well before I even made my account. I loved posting here, digging up new inspiring works and artists, making friends, etc., and often wish I still did. I never really want to wipe away my old art from places, because I like being able to see the progression over time, and track where I was or what I was into as I moved through life and found my own way into drawing more.It's beyond doubling-down on promoting AI stuff at this point, and now I've never wanted to wipe away my content from the site more. Maybe this year, the 25th Anniversary of DA, is when I finally go and wash everything away from this place, too. Every reason I find to come back here for something also just shows me more stuff that leaves me ranting sadly about the changes, and it's definitely not even trying to swing back
