Hikaru Iro Reference Sheet

Where to begin! Each piece you jump ahead with improvement! Yes I saw the old art, so I do like seeing artists redraw old work. I have a few in mind that I want to do myself. Though sit back you may be here a while. I have a lot to say.

Personal:

          This is another work of art that displays everything you have practiced and learned. I mean this whole card screams "professional." I mean I am sure some may criticize that you did not draw the back, but I think it would have taken away from this piece. The character being front and center, next to the faded sketches is fantastic. Giving the profile and a visual story of the personality through the art. Though I see a lot of your personality in this character or at least what your channel represents.

Now let us get to the details.

Line art, clothing and style:

           The picture shows a lot of your work over the years. You have character art, a bit of icon art for the sketches on the right, the signature pink to blue pallet, the happy expression and most of all those eyes. This is with no doubt a JefferyHarrison02 art piece. The improvements made me fan-boy because I am blown away at the speed of your improvements. This is your best work so far and I feel I have said that a lot this year.

             This is clean cut, fantastic and a level of your style. The limbs, hands and body are looking anime. Though I am happy to see that your style is not being drown out or held back. I fear that for a lot of artists, that overtime they try to draw like their favorite artists and lose their own style. Again, I a happy to see that you continue to improve and I can still tell it is your work.

               The clothing has improved a lot. I think best you have done. Nothing is bunched up and it flows well. The rippling effect is another artists characteristic of yours. It's like is I see that style of clothing, I know it is you. I love the transparent skirt under the main skirt. I love off the hip skirts that over one leg, it has that look. You did a less is more with the look and it is well done. Love the heart, as you know I sign my name with one and also have a lot of heats in my art. That dark undershirt is a great choice! I'll say why in the coloring part.

               It is a it darker than your usual style. She is not as bright as your other work. Instead she is balanced, a great medium of light and dark. I could see her in many styles either really colorful or even a bit more Gothic and dark.

Coloring and Shading:

             The pink to blue is back and more vivid. When I see your work the first thing I look for is the eyes. Then I see you added that usual pink highlight, only light purple. Yes, I noticed, hahaha. As usual, it gives depth and forms the neck line well.

            That dark undershirt is a great choice, has a diamond shape and helps to the pink, pop! I feel if it was not there her top shirt would blend too much and not be easy to see the detail. You use the dark purple well to make the pink pop and the the red is a frame. The blue works like a highlight to make the red stand out.

             Skin is your usual pale and peach tone. Though, Mr. Jeff, I can see she has abs. I take it you are giving eye candy to the younger crowd. Though be careful, she is an under-age character so that may scare people from her a bit. That is probably my only concern and criticism. It is your character, but the age thing could be a future issue with haters.

Finishing my comment:

                Love the Hair! The Pink high lights are great. After thinking of it, I though this looked familiar. I then realized his is the character you did as a chibi!

                I saw the highlight trick behind the neck as I said. A bit under the skirt but you did the skirt well enough to have noticeable bonce.

               This is definitely the most anime of your art. Again I am still blown away by the improvement. Everything has improved so much that I am still trying to find all of the things I could say about it.

I love your work and always look forward to seeing it. This made me so excited, seeing your improvement. Yes I will admit, I see I lack in a lot of these areas of skill. Though I will always wish you the best and be happy for your improvements. There is no amount of doubt or fear of my art not being good enough, that would ever inspire me to wish any artist to not do good. You deserve more praise and comments than I can provide. Though, I will continue to support and try to give you a thoughtful comment.
