Transformers: Forever a Sacrifice

Hello friends,

Have another sudden Meme redraw, this time featuring my Humanformers AU Optimus. This meme is based on the broken Porcelain/Puppet head I’ve seen floating around a lot.

For this particular piece I also added some flower language, which read as follows:

1. Chrysanthemum: Meaning death, or something closely associated with death

2. Hyssop: Meaning Sacrifice, or with great love comes great sacrifice

These two flowers encapsulate Optimus’s character arc perfectly, not only in my Humanformers AU, but also in some other Transformers media. As in some different media Optimus always ends up sacrificing himself for the sake of others. That’s no different in my AU, where Optimus does eventually sacrifice himself to safe his crew, and loses the Matrix in the process.

Optimus basically „dies“ here and after some wild shenanigans, Hot Rod eventually gets chosen by the matrix, becomes Rodimus Prime and leads the Autobots for a bit. A very long while actually, in which many things go terribly wrong. But not to worry as it turns out, that Optimus is not dead. the Autobots would find him many quirky adventures later on a isolated planet living his live once more as Orion Pax.

And purely for the sake of symbolism, have the Matrix of Leadership stuck in his head alongside the Flowers.
