That twig has been there for many years
This was a pretty hard one to stitch while preserving the composition.
Location: Garibaldi Lake, Garibaldi Provincial Park, Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Tokina 11-16mm + Tiffen Polarizer.
Processing: 3 x 3 RAW Photomatix Pro 4.1 HDR's stitched together in PTGui 9 and then processed with Photoshop CS5.

Overall Vision
Originality Technique ImpactThe color and depth in this photo is inspiring. I love how the clouds above bring a foreshadowing of trouble, yet the title disagrees. Additionally the color transition in the rocks at the bottom of the lake brings a quality the the photo that is perfectly balanced by the virgin snow. You really captured the essence of weather and beauty all at once. If i were to change one thing about this photo, i would say that the log sticking up in the middle of the water takes away from the perfection, however, mother nature decided that's where it should be, so what can you do?!!!?!?!?!?!
