Select-fire assault rifle. 5.45x39mm. A modern-age rifle with great ergonomics and select-fire capabilities.

The KOVAL5, or the FAL5, is a rifle from the wonderful folks at Flare Arms. This is a more modern take on their classic KOVA-98 rifle, though this borrows a lot of the tech that powered the Talion machine gun. Unlike either of these firearms, the KOVAL5 fires the modern 5.45x39mm cartridge. Of course, Flare Arms produces a custom '++' style cartridge they call 21.147x. This also comes with parts to convert this to fire 9x19mm Parabellum, making this function as a submachine gun alternative. This is also compatible with Colt 9mm magazines, similar to the LX12 from Lynx Arms, but uses the Lynx Arms magazines by default. The choice of select-fire capabilities also makes this a much more multi-purpose weapon in comparison to the original KOVA-98.
