Prudential Assurance Building, Nottingham

Prudential Assurance Building right in the centre of Nottingham is one of this city's landmarks and a masterpiece by Alfred Waterhouse, the grand maestro of the Victorian style. Born in Liverpool, he was the brother of the founders of PWC (the "W" stands for Waterhouse ;D) and Fieldfisher (formerly known as Field Fisher Waterhouse). And yet, to me, he's the most successful of the brothers, since his designs became iconic and forever changed the look of the country - definitely for the better.
