Merry Christmas!I've been playing with some abstract sculptural pieces recently. I'm still doing the other things, but am really enjoying the playfulness and creative freedom in building these little guys.

I'm not just going to post if there is a DD...honest!Big changes here. John got a job in NJ, so we had a 1000 mile move from IA to the Hudson Valley Area in NY State. Beautiful here, and lots of opportunity, I think. Now, to get the studio back up and running. I've got a lovely space, but little electrical access and no water. So....time to invest.I've been sketching and thinking up some new series, and will hopefully have something new to show soon.Thanks so much for taking the time to fave, watch and comment! What a happy surprise this morning! A DD can make you walk a little lighter for at least a week!I've been unable to produce as much artwork as I'd like this year, having taken on a 3/4 time job as a food pantry director to help make ends meet. (My husband's job was a victim of the recession, so we are scraping by as best we can.) While not as fun as playing with the pretty glass, it is a good gig. Gives one a sense of perspective, and you know you're making a difference with your work.I still have regular glass projects going, but they are all commission based, and not all necessarily interesting enough to post in my gallery.
