Ruined progress

Right, what are we looking at here...

first, the initial sketch and blocking in colours (on a layer underneath the sketch). lots of textured brushes in this initial stage.

then, merge the two layers and paint on a third layer. she's got some kind of futuristic space suit on and i think inspiration came from the movie Prometheus. i am pushing the values, dark gets darker, light gets lighter.

thirdly, i darken everything to fit the environment she's in and i noodle away at details, fix her wonky face, add a bunch of rim light to make her look cooler - and done.
