Sailor Moon Crystal: Mysterious Soldier

This is my favorite shot from the weekend.  It looks like a screencap from a movie!  I'm still thrilled and in a bit of disbelief that I finally got to cosplay this character again.  Even after well over a decade, she's still my favorite senshi.  I was always inspired by her poise, her drive to accomplish what needs to be done in pursuit of the greater good, and the sense of responsibility that went well beyond her years.  I definitely felt a deep affinity for her growing up that really hasn't changed after all this time.  Watching Sailor Moon Crystal this past season simply reminds me of all the light she brought to people, especially LGBT youth, from then and all the way until now.

The costume is made by me, with the exception of a few parts which were purchased and/or modified.  The skirt, sleeves, bows, collar, choker, and glove tops were made from scratch while the leotard and shoes were purchased and then heavily altered.  The tiara and earrings are by Catzia and my pendant is by The Pendant Peddler.
