Chapter 2: Meet Nancy and interview at Maxines

Nancys voice: Dear dad who would have dreamed taking a vacation to visit aunt Eloise in Florida would result in another case. Seems a student named Jake Rogers was murdered at the high school last week and an undercover police detective wants me to poise as a student to search for any leads at the school

I am also teaming up with this club called “The Dusk gamer Club, while they love to play games according to this letter I got from a guy named Rob he said they are also amateur mystery adventures and will be thrilled to help out, so under cover I go with team Dusk gamers I’m calling this case “Secrets can kill”

After Nancy finished writing her letter she placed it in a envalope “I better male this to my dad right away so it can get to River heights, I hope this Club can be helpful in solving the mystery” she said as a knock was heard “I’m coming” she said as she opened the door revealing it was the Dusk gamer guild eh club “Are you Arabella Eraqus heart?” Said Nancy gesturing to the white haired girl “I am and nice to meet you Mrs.Drew *walks in* I hope its not to much trouble for me and my partners to join in to help you on this case” asked Bella followed by the others “Its not when Rob sent me that letter he gave you a good Discription on you guys and your talents on mystery solving” said Nancy “Were good but we heard rumors that you are very better” said Beth as Chloe sat down with Barrius following “and no saying you are a amateur you are to humble for that” said Chloe as Hamma and Watabe looked around the living room as Ebon and Lilly followed “you guys are polite, but a focus is that do you guys know what is going on?” Asked Nancy as Bella peeked in “Only that a student at Polero castida high was murdered and we have to work with you and a undercover detective to figure out who killed him” said Bella (Beths voice: Hay I founded a safe) “Please dont touch that” said Nancy as she walked up to a dresser and showed a letter from her Aunt Eloise “My aunt Eloise warned me to not input the wrong combination” she said as Beth gently took the letter

“That’s deep trust” said Beth “it is and I know this is wrong but I may need to check the teachers lounge for clues” said Nancy placing the letter back where it belongs and checked one of the drawers and saw it was a letter to a reunion for Sigma phi kappa delta seority her aunt was once part of when she was her age and took note of the symbols ontop “Bella right? Does the safe numbers have greek letters? If so then I know what the combination is (Bella: which is?) *Checks the invite* Stigma Phi Kappa Delta” said Nancy “Alright *the dusk stares at the pad and froze “I have no clue what they look like” she said as Nancy walked over “Here let me type it” she said as Nancy typed the combination as it beeped open “There *takes the library key* I need this so we can get research if needed” she said as Lilly tugged on her jeans “what is it um Lilly right?” She asked as Lilly held the trivia notebook “She is wondering if we can take notes on any books you see” asked Chloe peeking out “Why sure, you are a bit curious are you?” Asked Nancy as Lilly nodded “Beth and my parents adopted her and Ebon, they lived in forced isolation except for there imaginary playmates there knowlege on the world is limited so we try to stimulate them with trivia facts” said Bella “You guys are really kind to do that especially to two orphans” said Nancy as she took note of a jewelry box as she lifted the cover and saw it was a slider puzzle “I know Aunt Elosie hides her passcode to the teachers lounge computer this is illegal, but any info bit helps” she said as she got to work onto it.

Meanwhile in the living room Chloe and the others got up from the chair followed by Hamma who was looking around the room, it was cozy feeling fro a librarian “It feels nice, hay Nancy your Aunt has a fine place to live in” said Wattabe “Nancys voice: thanks Aunt Eloise likes to live comfortable, like how I at times like to live light since I travel around alot solving mysteries” said Nancy as Chloe checked the drawer which Hamma noticed “That is rude to check other peoples drawers” she said “Oh hush, its a mystery game world you need to snoop” she said as she saw a custom sticky note pad with reminders for Eloise

“Finding a piece of information that can help later” said Nancy taking note of the login and password “well your Aunt seems to know about Jake and was about to talk to him about the library books coming out of order” said Chloe as Nancy hummed “Then I really need to go into the library to check it out” said Nancy as she, Bella and Beth walkied into the living room and saw Lilly and Ebon reading a book that seem noncencacle as Chloe opened a cabinet and saw a TV and VCR player but as it turned on it was static “we need something to make it work” said Nancy “like a remote control?” Asked Bella “Exactly *Gently grabs the book and put it away* better put that away for now you two and I think Aunt Eloise keeps a fake book to keep her Teacher lounge key safe” said Nancy as she looked on the other side of the shelf and picked out a book and opened it revealing it was hollow and in it was the Teachers lounge key as she pocketed it into her bag “That should count as illegal” said Wattabe “Maybe but we may need information on Jake that the Teachers know about” said Nancy as Lilly saw a book on a small coffie table and read it

[The Haunted Ghost bridge

Strange things have happened on this bridge. Some people have reported hearing screams and cries from bellow the Spam, ethers have reported ghostly fingers and even others have felt a cold tingling sensations through out there body when crossing. No one is certain about the origin of these sightings, but the first documented case of spectral phenomenon occurred around the turn of the last centery when a troop of girl scouts camped out here. All returned with there hair turned white.

None of the frightened campers spoke a word until a year later. A year! At first the girls just incoherently or screamed or laughed. A psychairatist specializing in dramatic experiences was asked to examine the girls but the girls would only say one phrase.

“So you know ROB? They contacted you?” Asked Bella

Detective Beach: good, now I’ll be at Maxines dinner-come see me when you’ve found out anything. All contact should be through me

“Can do-so whats our cover?” Asked Nancy

“Um our cover, who should I say you are if anyone sees us and asks?”

That caused a few snickers “And if anyone asks about us, you can pretend you are part of our Club” said Barrius “That can really work” said Nancy

At that he cut off the phone “Alright first step lets go” said Bella Marching out “Follow me Maxines isnt a far walk from Aunt Eloise place” said Nancy as the group managed to make it to a Nineteen eighties style restaurant as they walked inside and saw it was almost empty except for there secret contact and a male teenager at the countertop as he looked up

“Welcome to Maxines-I’m Daryl Gray. I dont think I’ve seen any of you here before” said the now named Daryl grey “My name is Nancy drew, I just moved down here, and the rest of the people exploring are members of a gamers club *guestures to Bella sitting next to her* this is Bella the founder and leader (Bella: hay) *points to Beth who is playing a game with Wattabe…or watching her not over do it* the one with the headphones is Beth and the one in yellow is Wattabe *Guestures to Chloe and Barrius sitting down to order with Lilly and Ebon on the other side joining in to order* That’s Chloe, Barrius, Lilly, and Ebon I think they want to order something in a minute *points to Hamma and Wreck-gar studing the juke box* and that is Wreck-gar and Hamma, they all make up the club” said Nancy

“Then all of you will be attending Paseo de Mar high, I’m your student counciel president. If there is anything you need, just let me know” said Darell “Thanks, I might just take you up on that offer” said Nancy “Same here, oh also I am ansexual and I am dating Beth over there and she is Ansexual as well” said Bella getting a nag that Darell is a flirt “Ok and so…what can I do for both of you?” He asked “Tell us about Paseo de mar high” said Nancy

“Its a great school-good teachers, nice students, lots of after school activities, its just too bad what happened” said Darell “What happened?” Asked Nancy though she can guess what it was “One of the students was murdered in the school last week” he said as Bella and Nancy shared a look “Can you tell us who was murdered?” Asked Bella “A senior named Jake Rogers, he worked here but I dont really know him…kept mainly to himself” he said “That’s terrible” said Nancy “I know-they only just now reopened the school” said Darell “Do you know who did it?” Asked Bella “No one knows, and the police are keeping pretty clammed up about it. But my resources say that they’re calling in some special detective, maybe even the FBI” he said ‘I dont know about FBI but someone is coming in a way’ thought Bella “Wow you must have some special contacts” said Nancy as Darell chuckled “Just special enough to see beautiful women like yourself” he said subtly flirting “What do you mean?” Asked Nancy as Bella shook her head at that cute cluelessness “Get it? Contacts? I’m wearing contacts that let me see pretty women?…I should get back to work, nice meeting you Nancy and the same with you Bella and your club” said Darell “Talk to you later/See yah” Nancy and Bella said in unison “Take care” said Darell as the duel walked away from the countertop.

“He is polite but seems hushed on what is going on” said Bella “We may need to gather more info before we can really grill him” said Nancy as she took note of Detective beach “Come on we better update Detective beach” said Nancy as the duo walked over “Uncle Steve!” Said Nancy to stay in charater “Nancy! Why I haven’t seen you since…uh…for a long time! How’s your…” started Beach “*Whispers* Aunt…Aunt Eloise *Outloud* oh she’s find and dad sys hello” said Nancy “You’re staying with your aunt right? And can *Points at Bella* she and her club be trusted?” He asked “Yes and Bella and the others can be trusted” said Nancy “Trust me we want to help out and we wont screw it up promise” said Bella “So…what do you got for me?” Asked Beach “Well I was hoping you could debrief us on the investigation” asked Nancy

“Oh sure, sure. I’m just a bit…well. My undercover assignments are usually not so…suburban” he said as Nancy nodded “I understand” “the victim was a senior named Jake rogers, as usual none of the family, teachers or students know about any enemies he may had. Nothing came up from searching his home, computer, cell phone or locker. His bank records tell a diffrent story, he had a fairly large savings account and a lot of cash deposits. We suspect he was involved in something shady-Drugs, gambling or blackmail, that’s where you and the club you joined fit in-talk to the students and see what you can find out, we think he might have kept information about his activities in a notebook or journel, so keep a look out for anything like that, do you need anything else?” He asked “No we will see you around” said Nancy as the duo left the table as Bella called everyone to come together “What did the boss say?” Asked Wreck-gar as the group walked out of the dinner to the school “Besides the students name, Detective beach says that Jakes bank deposits tells a story that he got a lot of it done so its suspected he was involved in shady buisness” said Nancy

“What the shady buisness is…unknown so we need to ask the students of the school what is going on and use what we learned to piece together how he got all that money” said Bella “We better take turns on subtle interrogation, some of us maybe…to honest to talk to the person” said Beth “But I better take front, I am good at questioning as you guys are” said Nancy which was unanimous as they made it to the school to gather information about Jake Rodgers, which may be deeper then they thought
