Honestly, when I look at this deviation, it doesn't look bad, but it doesn't really portray anything for me. I wonder, what was your point of this image?
Was it the tilted "sticks" (I am sorry I lack the work)? Because I can see how they could work in a photograph, but you would have to change the overall composition. If it was that, what you wanted to portray, I would have made a square, and straight in front of the "sticks" so they are all in a row, so the tilt really shows off. Because with the birds sitting on it, I think it could be quite neat like that. And black and white or sepia might have worked better there too.
The angle would have needed to be a little lower, so they are projecting into the horizon.

So I personally would have turned this image all around! But please don't take this too harsh, those are just suggestion for what you could look for in next times.
