Description

Because of the policy of Isolationism the whole world thought that the United States of America sit comfortable while everything burns. But they were wrong. USA didn't just sat and did nothing! US factories gave a life to the new tanks, new ships, new planes, new means of destruction. On September 13, 1944 USA conducted world first nuclear test explosion. In just 1 year America had 23 Nuclear bombs.

Not long after this test, President Roosevelt gave and order to prepare for a war with Japan. After a 2 months of drafting, Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed the Operation "Sunken Grace": nuclear strike on the Empire of Japan.

On March 19, 1946, when B-29D were flying to their targets, American government issued an ultimatum to Japan.

On March 20, 1946 US Strategic Air Command executed the Operation "Sunken Grace".

The attack was a huge success. Japanese losses reached catastrophic levels: about 55% of its naval infrastructure; destruction of 11 big cities and bases: Haikou, Macau, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung City, Taihoku, Naha, Shanghai, Qingdao, Weihaiwei, Nagasaki and Hiroshima; casualties reached 2,5 million people.

US casualties were none. All its personal, planes and ships returned to base, except 15 B-29D (10 landed in Mongolia, 5 in Soviet Russia).

The First Day of war was over.
