The human representative of the Republic of Lithuania, Sofija Laurinaityte has been through much turmoil and strife in her long years of living as a nation, and yet always manages to pull through these times of trouble with her iron-will, and quick thinking. Even if she's a bit battered and scarred as the result of this. She's a determined individual who is exceedingly serious in personality, always doing her best to make the lives of her people, and those she cares for happier and more comfortable. Despite her serious nature, her peers see her as being very kind and hospitable to all who visit or speak with her, yet this can quickly change if she is faced with a threat.

Despite being a lady, and being slender in stature, Sofija is much stronger than she looks, having been trained as a knight in medieval times and fully capable of defending herself against formidable foes. She's defeated nations such as Prussia and his Teutonic Knights, Sweden, and even Russia during wars in the past age. This is due to her exceptional skill as a leader and her remarkable strategic thinking, often giving her the edge on the battlefield and helping her win in a tight situation. She's often saved her dear friend Poland from a grievous loss because of this, when they were united together as the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

In recent years though, Sofija has relaxed her knighthood and has adjusted to the times, often enjoying her down-to-earth lifestyle in her home just outside of Vilnius, her capital city. She is much more cautious than she was in the 15th-16th centuries, due to her tumultuous relation with her intimidating neighbor, Russia. She has been forced to live and serve in Russia's home for many, many years, and having just recently gaining her independence, she's keen on staying away from the Russian as much as she can. She seemed to the the large nation's favorite of her Baltic siblings after all, receiving the most (unwanted) attention and being put through the most work. It was difficult for her to live through those years, and she only received brief reprisals (such as her heavenly visit to the United States of America, whom she now views as a friend). And as such, she'd prefer to stay away from anything and everything that would be considered 'Russian', at least for the time being.

On the other hand, she tries to keep close connections with her friends, such as Poland, Latvia, and Estonia, for she worries about their welfare and is very concerned about them. Sometimes she worries herself sick, and often has an upset stomach because of her behavior. She can also act rather depressed at times, thought Sofija would never do so in front of other people or in public. She's very proud and does not often seek help from others, though she gives out plenty out of her own good will.
