I have started drawing for the first time in my life at age 37 during Covid lockdown. First sketches were really basic, but I feel my skills are improving a lot with time. Drawing is my new stress relief from work and family duties. Two small kids can be exhausting and it's hard to find free time for any hobby, but I am somehow managing. Usually drawing when everyone goes to sleep.
I am currently working with a different range of graphite pencils on A3 sized paper. Planning on trying charcoal pencils soon. Occasionally I draw with watercolor pencils too, but I still haven't mastered that form of drawing.
Since I joined DeviantArt I have improved my skills massively, sometimes I still cannot believe I have gained hundreds of watchers and my drawings have been favorited so many times. Not long ago I was happy to get one favorite for my drawing. It's still a very short journey, I've only been drawing for about 2 and a half years, but it's a good example, especially for myself, that a lot of things in life can be accomplished with a lot of dedication, a will to learn and improve yourself. My wife told me this would happen and encouraged me a lot, she gives me a lot of support. Drawing is now my passion and I look forward to many years and many drawings that I hope to make in future.
Thanks!!!
