Description
As many of you may know of a famous story of a man who grew at a remarkably rapid pace. Its sad that he died at the age of only 22 years old (1918-1940), all caused by a foot infection by one of his leg braces. It was said that a giant of his stature, he lost feelings in his lower legs, meaning any blister or wound could go practically unnoticed by him. It took roughly a dozen men (12) to carry his casket and was deemed the tallest recorded man in history.
Now onto my question, what would've happened if he did survive, what if either the infection never happened or treatment was given sooner, increasing his odds? Well according to records of his growth rate and by how he was upon the time period of his death which was Summer of 1940, he was still growing up to that point, showing no signs of stopping. This raises an interesting theory that if he survived, he would've easily passed 9 Feet Tall. The records from the Classical Eras state that there were people above 9 ft but due to lack of evidence were dismissed by recorders, claiming that theirs's was simply exaggerated. This means that if Robert grew between the heights of 9'0-9'4, he would've easily toppled those records, disputed or not, making his rank truly secured in the number one spot.
What do you guys think, could this alternate historical feet actually work?
