Hi guys,

First of all, thank you for watching, commenting and faving. I appreciate it very much.

So, it's been a year since I started teaching wax carving and jewelry making in a local studio called Inbar. I'm quite proud of my students - and of myself. Never thought I'd be much of a teacher :-)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DA!

  1. How long have you been on DeviantArt? - 4 years, apparently... who'd have thought?

  2. What does your username mean? - Gesha is a pet name for Evgenia, and "gesher" means "bridge" or something connecting two remote parts.

  3. Describe yourself in three words. - Storyteller, artisan, cook.

  4. Are you left or right handed? - Right-handed mostly.

  5. What was your first deviation? - My userpic - one of my first filigree pendants, a small teardrop.

  6. What is your favourite type of art to create? - Wax carving (then cast in silver, of course)

  7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? - Singing :-) Music is the one type of art I can not learn naturally. If it's anything handmade - drawing, sculpting, etc. - I can learn it on my own. But music? I might as well be deaf.

  8. What was your first favourite? - Born of Sea Foam by puimun by :iconpuimun: - I love her work so much!

  9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? - Fantasy painting (digital and traditional), jewelry and steampunk

  10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist? - :iconpuimun:  :iconanndr:  :iconweirdwondrous: ... Can't stop at one really, there are dozens :-)

  11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be? - I'd probably say :iconeaglewinggallery:  or :iconflintlockprivateer: - best wax-carvers around, I'd love to learn from them in person or just watch them work for hours :-)

  12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? - Lots of ways! Friendly conversations with :iconlosenko: and :iconanndr:, helpful advice from :iconlostwaxoz: and :iconweirdwondrous:, inspiring animal photography by :iconwoxys:, lovely postcards by :iconjuliedillon: and exquisite watercolors by :iconhimmapaan:... I'll name them all given time :-)

  13. What are your preferred tools to create art? - Dental tools. I'm not kidding - they're the best to use for wax-carving.

  14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? - My studio.

  15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? - Getting a DD within a day of posting Raven Ring by GeshaR

Moving

Hi everyone!
A lot is moving in and around me. And the most important movement - my studio! I had to pack all the heavy, sharp and fragile stuff, take my workbench and move it all to another city. So now (after I unpack and assemble everything again) I'll be able to work where I live and not spend an hour and a half just to get to my studio. Yay!
So sorry if I was delayed on some commissions, hopefully from now on everything is going to flow pretty fast!
P.S.: I might post some photos of my new corner when it's all set :-)
P.P.S.: I'll be accepting commissions again starting November, so, if you have any ideas - feel free to drop me a note :-)
