Sixth entry in the Late Jurassic Morrison Formation of Utah, Colorado and Wyoming dinosaur fauna chart.
I always thought ceratosaurus was a boring "generic theropod" but doing the research for this lineup made me reconsider.
Ceratosaurus is actually a cladistics nightmare and an ecologically weird creature.
Largest adult based on a pretty massive, fragmentary ceratosaurus from That One Famous Fossil Bed Where The Top Layer is 100% Allosaurus Fragilis.
Don't ask why there's no species name, I will cry, and that's a threat.
