Winter has been here for a while. It seems to snow every week, then warm up and the snow melts. I love going out in the yard on the warm days. Lately one of my people has been staying home more. The people talk using words like 'unemployment' and 'the economy'. I like having her stay home. She keeps me company and lets me go out during the day. I have to stay inside when nobody is home. But she seems unhappy and worried. Something about 'money'. Not sure what that is, but it seems important to her.

Spring is here again. The sun is shining. My people are digging in the dirt of the backyard. The catnip is growing again. I am so enjoying being outdoors again.

I caught a mouse! I caught a mouse! I caught a MOUSE!After I subdued the mouse so it couldn't run any more, I brought it in the house to share with my people. And you know what my person did?!? She threw it out!! She threw my mouse back out in the yard!! I brought it right back in again of course, but she threw it and me out again and closed the door! I played with the mouse until it didn't wiggle any more, then she let me back in.The young person came and took her obnoxious cat away. Now I can sit in the living room again without being tormented. It's GREAT to have my house back!
