Dr. Sequoia Pinheiro sits at a desk, preparing samples to be returned to storage after a day of experimentation. The modest-sized laboratory has been sealed off at a strategic time of day, to avoid any chance of exposing their stowaway lab partner.
Flora bounces around impatiently, having found little to help Sequoia with during today’s duties. They hadn’t been much fun for conversation, either, asking for silence as they focused on organizing their notes for each corresponding sample. Flora pulls herself up to sit on a counter and observes the pale green cabinets, staring carefully at the shapes and reflections of the glass containers within, wondering not what they were used for but how she might recreate their image later. She must know how to blend in with this facility’s surroundings at all costs. Her paramount directive was to glean as much information about the humans as possible, but lately, more personal interests had been threatening to contest such priorities. Flora relishes
