Waryth gave me one last glance out of the corner of his eye.
"Are you positive?" he asked me.

"Nope, but I'm not gunna run back to bed, either," I replied. I could feel a smile tugging at the corner of my mouth, but then again, who could blame me? I was going into battle and chose bravado over fear.

I heard him guff out a frustrated sigh, and then shift back and forth in his saddle.
"Alright Little Girl, let us see if you have learned anything I tried to teach you," He said gruffly. Waryth rose his double headed waraxe far above his head while standing in his stirrups, all eyes were on him.

"This is one of many steps we will take to win back our home, our land, our freedom!! Make sure hooves and boot strike firm land! And if you must die; do so after slaying all those in your way!!" He bellowed, his breath rising up and curling through the air like smoke.

"DIE!!" Waryth yelled, dropping his axe towards our enemies at the bottom of the mountain, and spurred his mount into a full gallop down the steep and rocky mountain side.

I was right behind him on my mount, Adrene, my bow drawn, arrows already flying. I would have yelled, Gods know I had the adrenaline rush to sound like a banshee, but I had to control my breathing to keep my aim true.

I sunk my first seven arrows where I wanted them to go, the eighth grazing the brow of it's intended. I was getting too close to use my bow.
Only two shots left, maybe. I took three.

The rest of the calvary was on my ass, our horses' iron shod hooves pounding the ground so hard it felt like an earthquake. Large rocks and small boulders were starting to roll down with us, and some of my allies only had a split second to move before they were taken out by them. I slung my bow onto my back and drew my sword, my feet already up and out of the stirrups and semi standing on Adrene's back, like Waryth had taught me.

I was rolling thunder on the back of fluid rage, striking down everything in my way.

I never looked back, I knew better than to. If they were with me, they were with me. If they weren't, looking back wouldn't bring them back.
