A customers commission for a Galadriel gown with a Firefly Path spin on the design. When I first started the search for fabrics I was looking for something grey like her OG Hobbit colors but found nothing that spoke to me or had any elf-like glamor. They all looked drab. Then I spotted this beautiful two tone textured taffeta! I paired it with cream lining in the sleeves. Right below the chest at the center of the V neckline we added a beautiful faux raw opal stone with appliqué vines wrapping around it. The inlay is a brocade of cream, silver, and gold. We made a belt of chain and filigree. The chains that cascade in the front have small filigree ornaments with crystals embedded in swirls at the end of each chain. It is also adjustable so that it can be worn high or low on the hips.
