I'm still working on the kids design/name too, but I imagine they're probably non-binary or androgynous.

They're kinda a sad sack, mostly quiet and introverted. But they can be silly and quick to excitement. The thing I really want to focus on for them, is being ironically super innocent.

They don't mean to summon the demon, they just don't have any friends and found the book in the attic of their foster home. They love to play old GBA games and draw.

Pretty much everyone hates or doesn't understand the kid. Without a role model, they'd probably become pretty jaded themselves. And it isn't like the demon they summon isn't used to being picked on either.

It's part of the reason they decide to stay and help the kid.
