Whatever Happened to Men?: Figurine- Prologue
Prologue
Sometimes a doll can look too much like a person. They’ve got similar faces. Similar poses. And similar hairs. Dolls are mainly for children to play with. Some look scary to children, and others are useful for children’s needs. Dolls don’t have minds of their own. Not until this story does this doll develop a sense somehow. It can’t be anything mechanical; it thinks whatever a human can feel.
This doll remains until it is ready to be delivered to the new family. A child to be played with. What else would this doll have in its mind?
A schedule was giving this doll to its location for the upcoming birthday to a child that wanted another doll in her dollhouse. She wanted a male type of doll, at least, so she could give your Keesha Doll a boyfriend or something. She didn’t know which Male beauty she’d get but was looking forward to a new arrival for the doll’s new home.

Whatever Happened to Men?: Figurine- Part 1
Part 1
Sitting on the living room floor, a little girl brushed a doll’s hair. She hummed to herself, brushing the hair softly. Her brother watched her talking to herself with the beauty, figuring out her plot for her dollhouse episodes.
The Brother cleared his throat, “Ahem,”
The Girl was startled, “Robbie?” She called him.
“Did I miss anything?” Rob asked.
“Oh, just having Keesha going to work, just like mom does.” She added.
“Uhm, the Flower shop, Tamera?” He called her.
“Ah yes, The Flower Shop.” Tamera puts her Keesha doll in a small yellow doll car with teal wheels and travels it over the small living room table.
Rob knows about Tamera’s birthday soon and enjoys watching her play the dolls like a stage play.
A voice came from one of Tamera's dolls in a high pitch, "Tamera? My work is done; shouldn’t I be home?"
Tamera was startled again, "Huh?"
The Keesha doll was lying there, "Tamera? Do you have a plan for me?"
Tamera got a little spooked; she grabbed Rob's arm

Tamera played with the new Robbie doll and her Keesha doll three days later. She made some plot plans for the dolls to play in.
Meanwhile, Rob was on the stage play, seeing the performance of ‘The Sound of Music.’ He was critiquing the space to be heart-warming as possible. Of course, he was thinking about Tamera’s Dollhouse play.
When Rob got home, he watched Tamera again playing with the dolls and filming the play with a video camera. Rob stayed quiet if Tamera needed ‘Quiet on the set.’
Later that night, at 10:30 PM, Rob went to bed when something unusual happened.
A voice was outside his bedroom, “Robbie?” The voice sounded like Rob.
Noticing it, he got out of bed to investigate where the voice came from.
“Hello?” Rob whispered outside his bedroom door.
“Robbie?” It replied from the living room.
Rob wondered if Tamera was doing all of it. He checked into Tamera’s bedroom, in the small hallway, when he saw Tamera asleep in her bed.
“Robbie?” The voice came

The following day, Robbie took his shower, wiped it off, and dried it with the towel until he noticed something different when he looked in the mirror. He usually sees himself standing 5.9 tall, but now he seems shorter, 5.1 tall. He was measuring himself with his hand and was thinking, Am I dreaming? He thought about that night when he heard a voice.
Rob went downstairs for breakfast, trying to stay positive and thinking about what the day could be like.
“Honey, what is going on with your business?” His mother asked her father.
“It’s been tough. Lots of money issues, you know?” He added.
“Am I missing something?” Robbie asked.
“Don’t worry about it, Rob. Your father is under much stress.” She replied.
“What will I do then?” His father sighed.
“The trip to Arizona is a lot to do.”
“I know; my buddies are freaking out.”
“What about their wives or partners?”
“Some of them are cooperating, and others may join with us, but alone.”
“I hope I can be a help.” She

The following day, Rob did not sleep well while his parents were planning a hurry for a trip. Tamera was told by their mom and dad that Rob must babysit her while they are away for the week. It is just him and his sister. Rob is always used to watching his sister; however, Rob Doll kept him awake that night. He thought of his height also.
Later that morning, the parents left and kissed goodbye to their kids; Tamera took a school bus ride to her elementary. Meanwhile, Rob was in a college class routine but was too concerned with his height in front of his classmates and teachers. He felt healthy, but his inch shorter was so unreal to him. I should stay home sick, Rob thought. But what about that Rob Doll?
He went into the living room, checking the dollhouse, and there it was, the Rob Doll, standing against the front doorway. Rob freezes, stares at that doll, and slowly walks forward to it when he kneels in front of it.
“R-Robbie?” he stammered. “W-What’s happening to

Later that afternoon, Tamera was dropped off her school bus, brought the mail in, and went inside. The house was quiet.
“Rob, I’m home!” She called.
Tamera drops her backpack and investigates the house when she finds some theses in the kitchen and two chairs in the middle of the dining room. Her dollhouse was there, but she noticed her Robbie doll was missing.
The Short Rob was in his bedroom, while the tall midget doll stayed with him. Tamera, however, realized the house was quiet.
“Robbie?” She called. “Are you here?”
The two quietly looked at each other in the same bedroom until they looked equally at the same size. They both are identical to each other; it’s like they are facing a mirror.
“Robbie, have you seen my Robbie doll?” Tamera called some more.
The two were afraid, letting Tamera find out about them. They both heard Tamera’s footsteps getting closer. She reaches upstairs when she knocks on Robbie’s bedroom door.
“Robbie?” She opened it and searched

The 2 Robbies face each other when the doll Rob grows into more skin, while the first Rob becomes more plastic.
“Well, Robbie,” The Plastic one said to his doll double. “When I become what you were, do I have to stay by the dollhouse while you do college without me?”
“Well, I do know what you do in life, but scared to face people with me growing into being human.” The doll replied.
“I have mixed feelings about what our sister has seen.”
“I feel the same.”
“Hmm, what would you do in life while growing up?”
“Well, I would like to do stage theater critiques, being an actor, just like what you dream of.”
“You and I are the same minds.” He smiled.
The Doubles walked out of the bedroom, went downstairs, and went in where Tamera was. They both tried to act natural while Tamera was being jumpy. She watches them suspiciously when Robbie becomes plastic and grabs something to drink, a can of Coca-Cola, and he takes a sip out of it and belches a little.
“I never knew dolls

The other Robbie was human and happier to do stuff in the next couple of days. His sister Tamera went back to school the next day and after. Things were calming down a bit. Their parents returned from their trip, and they seemed happy to be home, and their situations were solved and settled in.
On that Friday morning, it was garbage truck day. Usually, regular trash enters the truck at 9 AM, and the recycle bin takes out at 11 AM.
When the Other Robbie came home that day, in the afternoon, he was getting stuff ready for his next day next week when he immediately realized something different. He walked into the living room with the dollhouse still there. The Keesha doll was still there, but no Robbie doll. He nervously searches for the beauty someplace inside the house. He checked the bedroom of Tamera’s; he checked his bedroom; he looked inside the bathrooms, the kitchen, and in the garage, no sign of the doll.
Where’s Robbie? He thought while breaking a sweat. He can’t
