John 16:33 Good Cheer

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33.
This was my verse of the day today, and it encouraged me spiritually in more ways than one.
1: God has spoken directly to US. He has allowed us to hear His amazing voice.
2: He does it so that we will have PEACE in HIM. When God tells us He will give us peace, that means that the world around us is raging at the moment. Peace can only come in times of trouble. It’s not needed in times of tranquility or smooth sailing.
3: There WILL be tribulation for those who follow Christ. He doesn’t sugar-coat it in any way. He tells it like it is.
4: But; that means it’s not the end yet.
5: Despite everything that seems to be crashing down around you and the troubles and tribulation you face, be of GOD CHEER. Be ENCOURAGED. Be LIFTED UP in your spirit.
6: God has OVERCOME the WORLD. Not will. Not might. But HAS. He has already overcome the world. He has overcome the EVIL. The SIN. The horrid state we are in as a world right now to Satan, He has overcome ALL OF IT.
Let these words of truth encourage you today. Just like they did for me.
