Brief Description: As a sleep therapist, Daliah’s main focus is helping anyone who comes to her with sleep issues (whether it’s being unable to sleep when before you could, or due to conditions such as insomnia or restless leg syndrome). Most of her job consists of consulting with her patients, with the occasional sleep study when the issues aren't immediately obvious to any party involved. While she tends to prefer avoiding getting colleagues to prescribe medication unless it’s clear the patient needs it (not due to any aversion to medication in general, she’s just scared patients might react badly to a particular medication), she realizes sometimes it’s necessary.

Medical Knowledge: Aside from having first aid and CPR training (due to her job requiring her to have both), Daliah can recognize the signs of sleep deprivation in a person due to her talent, though she counts this as the extent of her medical knowledge outside of her first aid training.

Short Bio: Born to a Japanese immigrant single mother, Daliah’s early life was rough, but she wouldn’t really say that it was anything major that would affect her later in life. Sure, there were times where she and her mother would have to live on instant ramen and other cheaper foods so they could make what little money they had last, but nothing so bad that she’d consider it something that still affects her (although it does, in the form of her being fiercely protective of any food she has due to a childhood of food insecurity and teenage years of pretty much the same).

Despite her less-than-ideal beginnings, Daliah proved to be an incredibly intelligent little girl, and skipped a few grades due to her intelligence – a feat her mother was over the moon about. This led to Daliah graduating two years before other kids her age and meant she could look into higher education sooner. Having suffered from sleep issues from a young age, she chose to pursue a career in sleep therapy, which meant a degree in neuroscience was her next goal in life.

At some point, she met someone who she refers to as her “tree hopper”, though any further questioning on who Hopper is or what exactly they are to Daliah leads to her changing the subject, something she rarely does otherwise. It’s assumed that she and Hopper are both as secretive as each other in regard to what they are to one another, since she’s said as much before – it’s the most substantial piece of information anyone can really get out of her in relation to Tree Hopper. That, and Hopper is the one to gift her the frog plush she keeps hidden in her sweater sleeves.
