What if women were the dominant sex?
This artwork is about gender role reversal.
The name Eve's Rib is taken from scripture:
"2:7 And the MISTRESS God formed woman of the dust of the ground, and breathed into her nostrils the breath of life; and woman became a living soul.
...
"2:22 And the rib, which the MISTRESS God had taken from woman, made She a man, and brought him unto the woman.
"2:23 And Eve said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: he shall be called Man, because he was taken out of Woman, but is less than her."
Note: sometimes my images depict a world in which women have always been on top. Other times they depict a world where men used to be charge until recently but a 'Genderquake' has led to women taking over. I like both scenarios and see no need to stick to only one of them. The image itself will show which world it belongs to: many fit comfortably in both.
But don't take it too seriously please! This isn't real!
Can you doing GRR in the based on different countries (example - China,Japan,Russia,Egypt,Tanzania,Bhutan,Bangladesh) etc?🙂
We can't wait to see this !! 😎
Actually there is another culture in the pipeline but I haven't exhausted the Fifties yet so it'll be a while before I publish anything.
Are you considering doing GRR for music albums (i.e. Taylor, Sabrina, Charli, etc.)?
No, I don't do celebrities.
I like this new stuff, and I'm glad you're creating again, but I'm increasingly missing your previous style of work.
The intent and care behind your drawings and early AI work made each work feel truly unique, but the latest stuff is feeling increasingly generic (in terms to what others are generating). I wish I could see the old versions of some of the older pictures.
It's the same world it's always been. Now however I can achieve the level of realism I always aspired to.
What is the 'latest stuff'? The Fifties series? Where is the (rough) line of alleged decline between 'early AI' and 'latest stuff'?
I reject the implication that there is less intent and care in the newest work: making good images still takes hours and there is more attention to detail, not less. I question the claim that anyone makes pictures quite like mine. What is 'generic' about 'Girl And Boy By The Lake', for example? Who else makes pictures like that?
And though I've replaced some of the old pictures because of poor execution, the majority are still there.
I absolutely love your women in suits posts, would love to see more!!! keep it up!!
