Description
Looking a while to find more images from the Reaper Carrier and the Processor but had not much luck. So i decided to made my own together with a bit Trivia collected from the Mass Effect Codex.
Both ships were briefly seen in the End scene of Mass Effect 2, when the Reaper Armada starts to the Milky Way Galaxy. We also saw the Processor one time in Mass Effect 3 as a hologram.
Carriers / Troop Transport
Reaper Carriers vary sometimes in size between 200 and 1000 meters, but the standard size seems to be 1000 meters, half the size of an Reaper Capital ship.
Carriers are used to transport Husks and Oculi drones to unconquered worlds and bring victims to Reaper processing ships. They lack sentience, being remotely controlled by the Reapers. They have an mass effect field guarded open hull in the rear part enable to flight into the athmosphere of an planet and release Ocoli drones or Harvesters without landing. Sometimes even Ground troops were dropped when overflight the enemy.
Carriers land typically when the Capital Reapers and the Destroyers had weakend the resistance of an planet because the Carrier itself has only limited offensive and defensive capabilities. During the invasion on Palaven the Turians were able to destroy multiple Carrier ships by carried captured Turian soldiers who smuggeled suicide bombs into the ships.
The Carrier can transport ten of thousands of Husks and hundreds of Ocoli Fighter.
Processors / Slaughter ships
Reaper Processors (also called "Slaughter Ships" by the Alliance) are tower-like Mobile centers for mass DNA harvesting. Like the Troop Transports, Processors lack sentience, being controlled remotely by the actual Reapers. They typically crawl on ground and process organic materials.
Victims who cooperate, surrender, or are captured by husks are sorted into camps. Victims that meet their standards for indoctrination are herded from the camps into processor ships. Those the husks deem insufficient are either turned into husks themselves or indoctrinated to serve as slave labor. The Reapers use this last option to give their victims false hope--many captives who would otherwise fight back become docile when they see members of their own kind obey and survive.
The processor ships reduce victims to a transportable liquid. Like in a slaughterhouse, the ships' design prevents victims from seeing or hearing what happens elsewhere so that they do not panic. The victims are ushered into locking pods, then rent apart and dissolved into paste that is flushed to storage vats.
Intelligence estimates suggest there are more than 400 processor ships on Earth, killing approximately 1.86 million humans per day.
