Jem Hadar Rifle (6)

One of my first Props i ever made, the Jem'Hadar Plasma-Rifle from Star Trek Deep Space Nine.

This is a 1:1 sized Prop of the Dominion Rifle used by the Jem'Hadar. The rifle design is based on a previously produced Prop seen in the Deep Space 9 Episode "Captive Pursuit" as the "Tosk Hunter Rifle". Later they changed some things on the rifle and make it the main sidearm of the Jem'Hadar. This rifle type was also seen in the Movie "Star Trek Generations" in Kirks Nexus Vision.

This Prop is not a 100 percent duplicate, because it is build only from junk like a old wooden door of a cabinet. So it cost me besides of glue and paint not a single cent.
Full prop is 69 cm in length and made out of three layers of wood. I use simply pressboard from a old cabinet door. Sawn with a jigsaw and adjusted with a rasp and sandpaper.
For the barrel i use a empty silicon tube. The tech things and structures are mostly old computer platines and plugs.
For the coloring i work with silver and black spray paints to give it a metalic surface.
