Obviously, very indebted here to Wendy Pini's depiction of the Palace; but all of the High Ones depicted are OCs. The fellow in the middle, next to the wolf, is our tribe's equivalent of Timmain.

Originally (in my thumbnail layout sketches), I thought this would fit into a half-page panel! HA HA HA! It was doing the wording layout that convinced me to make it a full page instead.

It should probably go without saying that in doing this project, I was indebted to plenty of references -- I looked at lots of bears, lots of wolves (primarily from Monty Sloan's site), lots of deer/eand lots of landscape photography and graphics (such as National Parks posters) for inspiration on the backgrounds!

Inked in a variety of methods (mostly basic Pilot marker and Sharpie marker, although I think there's a background here and there that I did with brush-pen; and colored with Copics and effects in Photoshop.)
