Kuda | Phoenix Showcase Event

  

There it finally is: my entry for the Phoenix Kuda Showcase Event.
The given setting was black sand beaches in the evening, with big campfires.
So I figured it was time to get both my kuda's together for this event.
Due to the ehh lack of kuda, I also grabbed one from @FarFieldEquestrian .
So this entry features Zendica & Frodo (from me) and KOVE Orange Cobbler (from @FarFieldEquesterian ).

I don't want to talk about how much I struggled with this shading.
I never draw with intense light sources, so this was a real challenge.
It's nowhere near perfect, but I liked it well enough to leave it at this (although that may also have had to do with the deadline being really close).
I took some creative liberties with the ceremonial tack, since it seemed impossible to render so many small details with so few pixels.
So I went for a simple gemstone necklace-ish jewel, combined with some sort of bridle with feathers and more gems.
As for Frodo, he is a little extra and also has a jewel by his tail because I just thought it was cute.

Although it was a huge struggle, I did really enjoy making this pixel and participating in the event.
As for now, fingers crossed that I will be able to get a lovely chonky kuda with this entry <3
