I had to come back though when I heard the Deviantart Staff themselves had snapped and engaged in mass art theft. I am livid about the way Da has been handling AI art generators. Instead of protecting their userbase they jumped on the bandwagon and engaged in mass-art theft, even going so far as putting their shiny new toy, which profits directly off of us, behind a paywall. I probably don't have to explain how terrible this is for the entirety of the world's digital artists. I should mention tho that Da's decision to change the noai tag from opt-out to opt-in means nothing. Once an algorithm is trained it doesn't need it's training dataset anymore,
