Quote: "You're more synthetic than my girlfriend's implants, and I made her up just now!"
One of the oldest-known combat models created at the Hero Factory, the Jericho unit is so-called because they were constructed using the plating from a highly-destructive warhead that was found embedded in the ground on the fringe of Makuhero City, having not detonated yet. They were outfitted with the highly experimental 'Repulsor Gauntlets', which allowed the units to repel enemies using magnetic force, as well as a high-power cutting laser beam which can tear a building in half with ease. They were also implanted with Hero Cores as a method of identification, since the cores were not configured to deliver power to the units. Unlike the other Rejects who were given their "brain chips" while still in storage, one Jericho unit was given the chip while being prepped for a combat drop against a revived Core Hunter. Jericho's chip activated in the midst of the battle, where he witnessed Core Hunter slaughter all of his fellow turret-bots, as well as the Hero 'Bull'. In order to avoid being dismantled, Jericho rolled over and "played dead" as it were, leaving Core Hunter to escape through a dimensional rift. When the Factory came along to clean up the remains of the fallen robots, Jericho slipped away undetected. It is because of this sudden moment of clarity that Jericho feels total guilt for standing by as his brethren were cut down before his very eye. This is a stigma that he has carried with him ever since. Aside from developing a conscious mind, the chip somehow granted Jericho the power of speech, something which he is grateful for everyday.
Jericho represents the resilient, wise-cracking little fellow in me, always talking smack and being just all-round easygoing. He doesn't necessarily have a bad side, just a "not-so-happy" side.
