Welcome to Damsel Valley...an out-of-the-way corner of the world with a small-town vibe but big-time intrigue. Follow the exploits of our local heroines through our graphic-novel style episodes presented as the Damsel Valley Adventures (DVA). These are a throwback to the police and detective shows of the by-gone "Golden Age" of television, when it was actually OK to have damsels-in-distress that weren't all 9th degree black belts. Don't be surprised if some things seem vaguely familiar yet a bit askew, as if viewed through a distorted rose-colored lens.

Skipping town (again)...

I’ll be leaving next Tuesday (Jan 21st) for a couple of weeks out-of-town, returning Feb 5th. Sorry that I won't be around to welcome and respond to you as I'd like to, but please feel free to browse about all you want. I'll be checking in, but I'll be on a lousy tablet and not able to type very well. Enjoy your stay in the Valley, and do come back anytime!
I'm going to finish posting my current story (“A Friend to Bank On”) before I leave, including the Epilogue (I hope), as I don’t want to leave it hanging that long. I’ll be using an accelerated schedule (every day), so I apologize in advance for the coming flood of deviations if they’re burdensome to you. I’ll post the usual “Stills” that go with it sometime after I return.

Commissions, requests, and such
About my outside work...
I am strictly a part-time amateur not-for-profit content creator. As such I don’t do commission work, and will not offer subscriptions. I do occasionally approach other not-for-profit authors and artists to collaborate on free content with them, as time permits. And I'm sorry but between the part-time thing, producing my own content, and my own selfish interests, I'm just not able to handle general requests.
I have the utmost respect and admiration for the many fine commission artists and subscription providers in the DA community, who are far more talented than I could ever hope to be. I simply have no interest in entering that realm, even indirectly. I want my work here to stay as only a hobby to me (read doing what I want, on my schedule).
This is just my personal desire, which I do not think is better or worse than anyone else’s.
And sorry about this...
...but it's getting out of hand with at least three of these every day.
If you request to use some of my art for a "project/mural you are working on, for which I will be paid" (or anything of the sort), I will immediately report your request to DA as a Scam, and block you. So stop wasting both of our time.
Not that I expect that this will stop it, but it makes me feel better saying it to any of you ass-hat scammers out there.
