Description
…and I don’t mean wolfaboos and misanthropists. I find it unfair to be labeled as one as soon as I say that I dislike hunting or think that humans are not all that great.

To make it clear, I don’t support extremists on either side. To me, it’s only about expressing my views and reasons, not making war. Therefore, I’m not talking about everyone here, just about the way that some stubborn-to-the-extreme people try to bash anyone who opposes their views.
First of all, I’m perfectly aware that:
-Plants are living creatures.
-Killing animals and other living beings, whether directly or indirectly is unavoidable and cannot be prevented 100 percent.
-Being a vegetarian will not save an animal that is already dead and will not make a huge impact and turn the world into a better place.
Stop saying this to me every minute. These are obvious fact and knowing them doesn’t make someone a genius.
-I never say that I’m vegetarian without being asked. Some people conclude that I am one and start saying that being a vegetarian doesn’t make me better than anyone who eats meat. Who said I think it makes me better? I have no problem with people eating meat, and I don’t get butthurt over anti-vegetarian jokes, sometimes I’m the one who makes them. If you don’t like my reasons, it’s your problem; I hadn’t announced it before you asked.
For those who say that I choose the lives of animals over the lives of plants: you choose the life of a cat or a dog over the life of a cow. Everyone’s biased, and I am not an exception. It’s not easy to do something that is good for everyone. Besides, there is a difference between animals and plants, no matter how much some people try to deny it. At least I don’t deny the fact that they are living beings.
You eat meat because you want to, not because you don't discriminate. I don’t eat it also because I want to. We do not always do things that will make a positive impact on something, so why are vegetarians the ones to blame?
And one thing for sure, being a vegetarian should not be a way to show off. Saying to me: “You think you are better than people who eat meat” without knowing me is ridiculous, because I dislike people who think that it makes them angels or something. Vegetarian or not, everyone harms the environment in a way.
-There is no reason to bash someone just because they dislike hunting, because there is more than one side to it. The issue is not simple enough to be called good or bad, therefore people can have reasons to support or dislike hunting, and it’s impossible to prove all the reasons of the opposite side to be wrong.
People look at things from different perspectives. Some people see things from the point of view of the whole economy and a population as a whole, while others consider the individual. I belong to the second type and to me it’s the same way with humans as well. I don’t like it when a certain unlucky person suffers for the sake of the population or the country.
Pro-hunters say that hunting is beneficial to the economy and the animals altogether. I’m not going to argue, but I think it’s not fair that a certain deer that crossed a hunter’s path is killed for the sake of others, that might eventually be killed as well. Shooting an animal to prevent its death from starvation also seems ironic to me.
When a pro-hunter provides me with statistics to prove that hunting benefits the economy, I’m not going to stare at them with blank eyes and argue. They have their reasons to support hunting and I have mine to dislike it. I’m not going to deny the facts, but they won’t make me develop warm feelings for hunting. Even if my reasons might seem emotionally-driven sometimes, my emotions don’t make me lose my head.
-Being a pro-hunter is not going to automatically make someone more rational or intelligent than an anti-hunter. Calling someone stupid just because they dislike hunting is, excuse me, stupid. It has nothing to do with a person’s mental capabilities. People on both sides can act like total morons, but sometimes, no matter how civilized you act, you are being called names, because to some people, trying to prove the other person an idiot is more important that standing up for their views.
The reason why I’m writing mostly about hunting is because, as I said, it cannot be easily labeled as good or bad. To me, these two words are often primitive, because life is more complex than to have two sides. What is wrong to one person might be right to another. I’m not going to write about kicking puppies, because I think it’s wrong no matter how you look at it, and pro-hunters most probably agree with me on that.
-Knowing that human beings have flows doesn’t make someone a misanthropist. People are capable of doing things that animals can’t, sure, but humans are mostly important to us, humans. A beaver is not going to care about the newly invented cell phone; its production might be rather harmful for nature. A pet might consider its owner important, regardless of the owner’s achievements. Once again, the importance (in this case, of humans), is relative.
I’m not implying that humans are not important to me, they are, and I’m not going to deny the blessings I receive for being a human. I just don’t think that we have the right to exploit anything we want any way we want, or deprive others of their rights and deny that these rights exist. If you think humans are that magnificent and amazing, stop doing humanity a bad favor by acting like a selfish moron.
If you disagree, do it in a peaceful way and in a normal language.
