its unknown how homo sapiens rose to such populations as they did, to such heights of civilization as they did, how their cultures functioned-if they had any, or what killed them so spontaneously. What we do know is that albeit a short lived one, homo sapiens was perhaps earth's greatest success story until the rise of our own species. It is imperative that we learn from their mistakes as to not follow into their footsteps to oblivion with so many others before.
