Honestly, I think Cinderella matches Arthur a lot better than Jasmine. In fact, now that I think about it, they seem to match up a little too well, and have a little too much in common. (Hard childhoods full of excessive chores & abuse. Rather timid natures. Merlin & Fairy God Mother. Loved by rodents. Blondes. Rags to royalty.) It all seems a bit much to be pure coincidence.
Maybe Cinderella's a long lost descendant of Arthur Pendragon. Or maybe the Fairy God Mother chose who to help based on Merlin's history, hoping to replicate his success.
